Dr. Roger C. Styer graduated with his PhD in Horticultural Sciences from University of Florida in 1982.  Since then, he has worked for Ball Hort for 12 years in research and technical services. In 1995, Roger established his own horticultural consulting company working with greenhouse growers around North America. He has written many articles for trade magazines, given many talks at grower conferences, and conducted quite a few training sessions for greenhouse growers at their locations.  Roger is now the Technical Sales Rep for Fides-Oro, helping growers around North America have better success with ornamental production.

Dr. Royal Heins is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University.  Dr. Heins graduated with his BS in Horticulture from Colorado State University in 1975 and his PhD in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota in 1978.  He spent the next 25 years on the faculty at Michigan State University before retiring to work in the private sector.
